From all of us at Team Cops and Monsters we just wanted to wish everybody Happy Holidays!
We’ll be releasing a special Christmas message from The Cult of Many Faces at 3pm on December 25th on Twitter and Facebook so be sure to check that out.
Episode 4, “In Crimson”, by Iain Smith, goes into pre-production in January and we hope to shoot it at the end of February.
One of the many highlights of being at MCM Comic Con Scotland last weekend was the pleasure of meeting Doctor Who companion, Sophie Aldred, along with so many other brilliant Doctor Who cosplayers. Sophie very kindly posed for a photo with everybody dressed up from the show and our behind the scenes filmmaker Ellie Hughes caught the moment on camera.
We’re going to be releasing a special Comic Con DVD in a couple of months with highlights of our experiences at Scifi Wales and MCM Comic Con Scotland. You can pre-order it on our Merchandise page!
Episode 3 starring Ellen Patterson, Simon Weir, Kenny Boyle, Chris Bain and some brain munching zombies is currently in post-production and we hope to release it in early August.
We are currently in pre-production for episode 4 and as soon as we have any news we will post it here, on twitter and facebook.
Episode 3, “The New Recruit”, which introduces us to Maya Hedges, played by Ellen Patterson, is now in the can! Shot in Glasgow throughout the day, the cast and crew assembled at 10am to film the 4th scene of the episode, before wrapping on scene 3 at 8.18pm!
We will be adding photos taken from our stills photographer, Dougie Coull, shortly and we will also be uploading a behind the scenes look at how we shot the episode with cast interviews.
Once we hand over the footage to our editor Anne Nicholson, and then to our visual effects animator and composer, we will set a release date so you all know when you can watch episode 3!
Now we continue our funding process so we can budget and schedule to shoot our remaining 4 episodes of series 1!
Be sure to follow us on Twitter for all of our latest news.
Scottish actor Chris Bain has joined our cast for series 1. Chris will be playing Clark in episode 3, “The New Recruit”.
Clark is a mysterious government man reporting to the Deputy First Minister, Alan Smith (Des O’Gorman) who has taken a keen interest in the Paranormal Investigation Team since being tasked to work with the security minister.
“The New Recruit” will introduce several new characters including Norris Fletcher, the PITS operation manager, Maya Hedges, Martin Carmichael and Clark.
Scottish actor Kenny Boyle has officially joined our cast as geeky hacker Martin Carmichael.
Acclaimed writer and director Kenny Boyle most recently appeared in his own short play Hero Worship which toured Scotland and received a hearty abundance of critical plaudits. He trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has performed in theatres across the united kingdom. He is extremely excited to be working with director Fraser Coull again and can’t wait to start filming Cops and Monsters! For more information his website can be found here: http://kennyboyle.co.uk/
Martin covers his insecurities with over-confidence, however when his old girlfriend, Maya Hedges, asks him to hack into the PITS personnel files for reasons she won’t disclose, Martin finds himself in a difficult situation.
Kenny will make his first appearance in episode 3, “The New Recruit”, filming on the 18th of July in Glasgow.
We will be announcing the casting of Maya Hedges shortly!
Our next convention appearance will be at Sci-Fi Wales in Llandudno in North Wales on September 5th, followed by Bolton Comic Con on November 15th. We hope to announce a few more panel appearances for 2015!
